The education nowadays is very expensive and majority of the students do not have opportunity to pay all essential studying expenses. But fortunately, there are special scholarships for students which can cover all fees. Usually the scholarships are awarded according to the students which suit particular requirements. For example, the McKay Scholarship Program, which is offered in the Florida, provides the financial aid for the students with disabilities. Thanks to this opportunity the people with restricted abilities can study in the educational institution of their dream. In the competition for this scholarship can take part those students who are deaf, blind, mentally handicapped, visually impaired, language or speech impaired, dual sensory impaired, emotionally handicapped, physically impaired, hospitalized or homebound, specific learning disabled. Such students can choose such educational institutions which will suit their wishes, needs and requirements.

There is a list of criteria and requirements for those students who have a desire to receive McKay Scholarship. The candidates must have one of the disabilities mentioned above; attend one of the public schools of the Florida state during the previous academic year, have IEP (Individual Education Plan).

Those people, who receive the McKay scholarship, get approximately $ 6000 per year. There are no time limits on the participation in this program: the parents can apply for this scholarship from the kindergarten till high school and higher educational institution.

Usually the scholarship includes not only tuition fees, but also other expenses which refer to the studying (insurance, accommodation, transportation, living expenses, book fee, etc). Often the transportation of the students is provided by the transport of the university, but sometimes parents are responsible for the transportation of their children in the university campus.

The sum of provided money is calculated depending on the needs of the particular candidate and assumed studying expenses.
